Ingredients for Fluffy Rice:

  • 2 cups Maknyuss Rice
  • 3 cups water

Sambal Tempong Recipe:

  • 10 red bird’s eye chilies
  • 5 curly red chilies
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 medium tomato
  • ½ tsp roasted shrimp paste (terasi)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 kaffir lime

Side Dishes:

  • Fried chicken
  • Salted fish
  • Fried tofu and tempeh
  • Boiled spinach, eggplant, and pumpkin
  • Cucumber

How to Make:

  1. Rinse Maknyuss Rice once, cook until done, and set aside.
  2. Grind all sambal tempong ingredients, adjust the taste, and set aside.
  3. Serve the fluffy rice with fried chicken, tofu, tempeh, vegetables, and sambal tempong.
