
Nasi Tempong Recipe
Ingredients for Fluffy Rice:
- 2 cups Maknyuss Rice
- 3 cups water
Sambal Tempong Recipe:
- 10 red bird’s eye chilies
- 5 curly red chilies
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 shallots
- 1 medium tomato
- ½ tsp roasted shrimp paste (terasi)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 kaffir lime
Side Dishes:
- Fried chicken
- Salted fish
- Fried tofu and tempeh
- Boiled spinach, eggplant, and pumpkin
- Cucumber
How to Make:
- Rinse Maknyuss Rice once, cook until done, and set aside.
- Grind all sambal tempong ingredients, adjust the taste, and set aside.
- Serve the fluffy rice with fried chicken, tofu, tempeh, vegetables, and sambal tempong.
