Ingredients for Rice:

  • 200 gr Maknyuss Rice
  • 300 ml coconut milk
  • 10 butterfly pea flowers
  • 50 ml hot water
  • 1 lemongrass stalk (crushed)
  • 1 pandan leaf (tied into a knot)
  • ½ tsp salt

Side Dishes:

  • Fried chicken
  • Boiled egg
  • Blanched bean sprouts & spinach
  • Peanut sambal
  • Cucumber pickles

How to Cook:

  • Rinse Maknyuss Rice once and set aside.
  • Soak butterfly pea flowers in hot water until the color comes out.
  • Pour the colored water into the rice cooker, then add 300 ml of coconut milk, crushed lemongrass, pandan leaf, and salt.
  • Cook until the rice is done.
  • Serve Nasi Kerabu with fried chicken and other side dishes.
