
Nasi Rawon (Beef Black Soup Rice)
Fluffy Rice Ingredients:
- 2 cups Maknyuss Rice
- 3 cups water
Broth Ingredients (boiled):
- 500 g beef, cut into pieces
- 1 liter water
Rawon Spice Paste:
- 10 shallots
- 5 cloves garlic
- 5 kluwek nuts (black nuts)
- 5 kaffir lime leaves
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 lemongrass stalks, bruised
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp stock powder
Side Dishes:
- Short bean sprouts
- Salted eggs
- Prawn crackers
Instructions:
- Rinse Maknyuss Rice once, cook until fluffy, and set aside.
- Sauté the spice paste until fragrant, then add it to the broth. Add the remaining rawon seasonings, adjust the taste, and simmer until the beef is tender and the soup is rich and flavorful.
- Serve the fluffy Maknyuss rice with rawon soup, and complement it with short bean sprouts, salted eggs, and prawn crackers.
