
Nasi Krawu Recipe
Ingredients for Fluffy Rice:
- 2 cups Maknyuss Rice
- 3 cups water
Ingredients for Beef:
- 10 shallots
- 5 cloves garlic
- 500 g beef, thinly sliced
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 lemongrass stalks, crushed
- 1 tbsp beef stock powder
- ½ tbsp salt
- 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 350 ml thick coconut milk
- 500 ml water
Side Dishes:
- Red and yellow serundeng (spiced grated coconut)
- Sambal terasi (shrimp paste chili sauce)
- Fresh vegetables
- Fried shallots
How to Make:
- Rinse Maknyuss Rice once, cook until done, and set aside.
- Boil the beef in water until tender, remove, and shred.
- Sauté the blended spices until fragrant, add the shredded beef, and stir briefly. Add the remaining ingredients and coconut milk, then cook until done. Sprinkle with fried shallots and set aside.
- Serve the fluffy rice with shredded beef, red and yellow serundeng, sambal terasi, and fresh vegetables.
