Kebuli Rice Recipe

Ingredients for Rice:

  • 500 g Maknyuss Rice
  • 200 ml thick coconut milk
  • 500 g beef
  • 1 liter water

Kebuli Spice Ingredients:

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, bruised
  • 4 slices ginger
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 4 kaffir lime leaves
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 5 cloves
  • 5 cardamom pods
  • 1 tbsp cumin, roasted
  • 1 tbsp coriander, roasted
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Kebuli Rice Condiments:

  • Raisins
  • Pickles

How to Make:

  1. Boil water and cook the beef until half cooked, set aside.
  2. Sauté the kebuli spices, then add them to the beef broth.
  3. Rinse Maknyuss Rice once, then add coconut milk, beef broth, and spices. Cook until the rice is done.
  4. Add raisins and stir well.
  5. Kebuli Rice is ready to be served with pickles.
