
Nasi Gandul Recipe
Fluffy Rice Ingredients:
- 2 cups Maknyuss Rice
- 3 cups water
Broth Ingredients (boiled):
- 500 g beef, diced
- 1 liter water
Spice Paste:
- 13 cloves garlic
- 5 shallots
- 50 g red chilies, boiled
- 25 g candlenuts, roasted
- 1 thumb-length galangal
- 1 thumb-length ginger
- 1 thumb-length kencur (aromatic ginger)
- 1 tsp coriander, roasted
- 1 tsp cumin, roasted
- 1 nutmeg
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tsp roasted shrimp paste
- ½ tbsp salt
- ½ tbsp seasoning powder
Side Dishes:
- Crackers
- Tempeh
- Fried shallots
Instructions:
- Rinse Maknyuss Rice once, cook until fluffy, and set aside.
- Sauté all the spices until fragrant and cooked, then add them to the broth. Adjust the seasoning and simmer until the beef is tender and the broth is rich in flavor.
- Serve the fluffy Maknyuss rice with the savory broth and complete it with crackers, tempeh, and fried shallots.
