
Suna Cekuh Fried Chicken Recipe
Ingredients for Fluffy Rice:
- 2 cups Maknyuss Rice
- 3 cups water
Marinade Ingredients:
- ½ kg chicken
- ½ tsp salt
Suna Cekuh Fried Chicken Seasoning:
- 7 shallots
- 5 cloves garlic
- 5 curly red chilies
- 5 bird’s eye chilies
- 2 candlenuts
- 1 thumb-sized piece of aromatic ginger (kaempferia galanga)
- 1 thumb-sized piece of turmeric
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
- Rinse Maknyuss Rice and cook with 3 cups of water until soft and fluffy.
- Rub chicken pieces with salt and let them sit for 15 minutes.
- Grind all the seasonings (shallots, garlic, chilies, candlenuts, aromatic ginger, turmeric, and salt) into a paste.
- Sauté the spice paste until fragrant, then add the chicken. Stir until the spices are absorbed.
- Fry the chicken until golden brown.
- Serve your Suna Cekuh Fried Chicken with warm, fluffy rice made from Maknyuss Rice.
