Nasi Tumpeng Recipe

Fluffy Yellow Rice Ingredients:

  • 400 g Beras Maknyuss
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, crushed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 pandan leaf
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp stock powder
  • 800 ml water
  • 200 ml coconut milk

Spiced Fried Chicken Ingredients:

  • 6 shallots
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 thumb-sized piece turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • 1 thumb-sized piece galangal
  • 1 thumb-sized piece ginger
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • ½ chicken

Additional Side Dishes:

  • Crispy Mustofa potatoes
  • Shredded omelet
  • Urap seasoned vegetables
  • Tempeh stir-fry

How to Make:

  1. Rinse Beras Maknyuss once. Combine all yellow rice ingredients and cook until done, then set aside.
  2. Fry the spiced chicken until cooked and golden brown.
  3. Serve the fluffy yellow rice with spiced fried chicken, crispy potatoes, shredded omelet, urap vegetables, and tempeh stir-fry.
