
Nasi Daun Jeruk (Citrus Leaf Rice) Recipe
Rice Ingredients:
- 400 g Beras Maknyuss
- 800 ml thin coconut milk
- 10 kaffir lime leaves, thinly sliced
- 7 bay leaves
- 1 pandan leaf
- 2 stalks lemongrass, crushed
- ½ tsp salt
Chicken Karaage Ingredients:
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 2 thumb-sized pieces of ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tbsp black pepper
- 500 g chicken thighs
Coating Ingredients (mix together):
- 50 g all-purpose flour
- 10 g cornstarch
How to Make:
- Rinse Beras Maknyuss once. Combine all rice ingredients, stir well, and cook until done. Set aside.
- Coat the chicken with the flour mixture, then deep-fry in hot oil until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
- Serve the fragrant Nasi Daun Jeruk with crispy Chicken Karaage.
